What's on the invoice QR code?

Every invoice includes a QR code that encodes the seller name, tax-registration number, timestamp, invoice total, and VAT amount — a standard machine-readable summary of the invoice. The QR is generated on your device and is part of the PDF. Naqdi is a self-service invoicing tool; you remain responsible for checking that your invoices meet whatever requirements apply to your business.

How is VAT calculated?

Naqdi applies the standard Saudi VAT rate of 15% on the taxable amount (subtotal − any discount) using Apple's Decimal type with banker's rounding. All amounts are stored and displayed to exactly 2 decimal places. The quarterly VAT report combines output VAT (from invoices) with input VAT (from expenses) to show your net payable or refund.

Where is my data stored?

On your device only. Naqdi uses Apple's SwiftData framework to store invoices, clients, expenses, and your business profile locally. Nothing is uploaded to a Naqdi-owned server. The only data that ever leaves your device is (a) anonymous crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics, and (b) subscription status through Apple StoreKit. See the Privacy Policy for details.

What happens if I delete the app?

All local data is removed permanently. We recommend exporting your invoices and expenses as PDF or CSV before deleting, especially if you're mid-year and may need the records for your quarterly VAT return.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not us. Open the iPhone Settings app → tap your Apple ID at the top → Subscriptions → Naqdi → Cancel Subscription. Apple will honor your access through the end of the billing period. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com — we can't issue refunds directly.

Does the free trial auto-convert?

Yes. If you start the 7-day free trial on the yearly plan and don't cancel within those 7 days, Apple automatically charges the annual price and converts you to a paid subscriber. You can cancel anytime during the trial (see above) to avoid the charge.

Can I use Naqdi if I'm not VAT-registered?

Yes. In your Business Profile, set "VAT Registered" to off. Naqdi will generate invoices without VAT applied and without VAT-specific labels. The QR code is still generated (best practice) but the invoice itself is a plain tax-exempt invoice.

Can I share the same subscription across iPhone and Mac?

Yes. Naqdi supports Universal Purchase — a single subscription covers all your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac Catalyst). Sign in with the same Apple ID on each device and your Naqdi PRO status transfers automatically.

The Arabic text looks different after I type. Why?

Naqdi automatically converts Arabic-Indic digits (٠-٩) to Western digits (0-9) for consistency on invoices — Saudi businesses overwhelmingly prefer Western numerals on invoice PDFs for banking and accounting workflows. This is on purpose; the text content you type stays exactly as you typed it.

I found a bug or have a feature request. What do I do?

Email us at NaqdiAppFeedback@gmail.com. Include your iOS version and the Naqdi version (Settings → About → Version). Screenshots help. We read everything and reply within 2 business days.
